At its March 2024 meeting, the NCHSTCA Board of Directors approved a recommendation to amend the postseason schedule to provide greater flexibility in the event of inclement weather.
The proposal, which will be considered by the NCHSAA at its Spring Directors meeting on April 30th and May 1st, calls for bracketing of the dual-team playoffs to take place on Friday of the last regular season week (Week 9), and for two rounds of dual-team play to take place during the first postseason week (Week 10). This will create space at the end of the postseason calendar which can be used in the event that rain postpones either dual-team or individual regional or state championship play.
