Post-Season Schedule Change
The NCHSTCA Board of Directors has proposed a change to the postseason schedule which would provide for more flexibility in the event of inclement weather during the three weeks of individual and dual-team tournament play.
The change calls for bracketing to take place on the Friday of the final week of the regular season, and for two rounds of dual-team play to be scheduled for the week leading to the individual regionals. This creates a "rain-date" in the final week of the season which could be used to adjust the tournament schedule if needed.

No-Ad Scoring
Last fall, the NCHSAA approved a change in the handbook language permitting coaches to agree on alternate match formats in order to shorten dual-team match times. While the standard match format remains unchanged, coaches can agree to play pro-sets in singles, or to use No-Ad scoring. These alternatives are available on a match-by-match basis, and only if both coaches agree.
Some coaches have expressed a desire for No-Ad scoring to become the standard match format.
Doubles Line-Up Exchange
For many years, doubles line-ups were exchanged at the beginning of the match, before singles play began.
More recently, the language in the handbook allows for the doubles line-ups to be exchanged after singles has been completed, just before doubles is played.
